# Restoring B8 A4's that won't finish flashing first block

1. Use AutoTuner
2. Hook up to boot mode using the standard CAN and power and ground pins, plus the two gpt pins on the right
3. Ensure you also put the resistors on the watch dog timer chip
4. Restore the whole file using a decrypted FRF
5. Erase maps section and set to FF
6. Flash using thing via OBD setup
7. Read again with autotuner save into ECU backups as restored ECU
8. Optional: Load the tune via boot mode using the good backup (copy the maps and the TPROT should be 3C40 > 0000)
9. Send back to customer
